Black Friday

I believe it's named correctly... Don't get me wrong. I have no problem with running out on a Friday to catch a good sale. However, I have a HUGE problem with the heart that drives so many in our country. As a nation we are out of control and it breaks my heart. All around me I see proof of people caring more about STUFF than about people. Stories like this break my heart.

Worker dies at Long Island Wal-Mart after being trampled in Black Friday stampede

I pray that we will wake up to what matters. No sale at Wal-mart is going to make or lives happier or more fulfilled. In our house there are two rules- that's it... love God and love people. What else is there that matters? If you are loving God and loving people you are going to be just fine. Stuff is not bad but it's not important. It's just stuff. What a sad empty life when your life is driven by what you can aquire next. Angel

That is TOTALLY INSANE!!! We TOTALLY boycott Black Friday!! I'd rather pay the extra money to go somewhere, be safe, and not have to deal with a bunch of idiots!! This is so sad that this what our society has come to...stuff, stuff, stuff!!!

Amen to that. We went out this year and nothing like that but the store took the time to keep people in a line vs a MOB and kept entering the store peaceful.

It's just so hearting to see where most peoples heart is then the spirit of the season. As I always say if it was gods will for me to having something/see something/do something then I will attain it/see it/or do it. No reason for what is happening every year on black Friday.

Wish you and your family a fun and safe Black Friday.

Ridiculous! I also heard a pregnant lady got knocked over and ended up miscarrying! I am proud to say that I have never participated in Black Friday, nor do I plan to...EVER!

hi Angel,

i commented earlier, but i wanted to ask about a book you mentioned a while back, that you said was really good and had a powerful affect on you & your heart... it was a Christian book. i've really been reading a lot lately and would love to know which book you were referring to!

thanks!

alice :)

p.s. and if you don't want to leave it in the comments section, you can just e-mail me at ajoub at satx.rr.com. i also need to get connected for the sponsorship as apparently my first e-mail was not received. thanks!

I am right there with you Angel! I just got the sickest feeling in my gut when I read about what happened at Walmart! We are at a sad place as a society!
