Soooo.... I'm Going To Africa!

If you are a long time blog reader you know I am going on a mission trip to Africa in 3 weeks. 3 WEEKS! Can you believe it? I know I can't! It really snuck up on me. I am really going!!! God is teaching me something so deep and core right now. I haven't even known quite how to put it into words. I am learning things I don't want to know. I am opening my eyes to things I don't want to see. I have so much I want to share with you. I will start with this video. Would you please take a few minutes to watch it? I really think you will get a lot out of it. It is a message from Rick Warren- author of The Purpose Driven Church. What he is saying here is WHY I am going to Africa in three weeks. It's why I am who I am. I believe it's a big part of why I am here writing this blog. I think it's a part of why you are reading. We know there is more. We know.

Wow! I had forgotten about Africa. And three weeks will be here before you know it. Then the next thing you know, you will be on your way to China...you are quite the world traveler. :) I look forward to reading about your experiences the next few months.

Hi Angel!

I don't know if you remember me, but I adopted Abby at the same time that you adopted Zoe.

I am going to be in Ethiopia at the same time that you are. I would love to meet up, if you would like to. We are adopting a 9 year old girl, named Sami.

I am jealous! Going to Africa is on my list of 100 things to do before I croak:) My sister goes to Uganda for 6 weeks a year with an organization called "Invisible Children." Absolutely inc(red)ible (hee hee) I can't wait to hear all about it and live through you until my time comes:) Also, the post before this was awesome, you write so well. Kaiya is so lucky to be coming home to you and your family!

Angel, I so admire you for going and blessing these children with the little time you get to be there to help them. I pray one day that I too will be able to do these things. Huge hugs being sent your way.

Amazing! I can't wait to read about your trip.

I was on the blog of the lady picking up her daughter in China. There is a picture of three little girls, is one of them your daughter?

HI, Angel,
Can you post about what organization you travel with to Africa (and your other mission trips really). I just read Red Letter Living. I am currently reading parts of it to my 14 yo. My heart has definitely been turned towards the people of Africa. We are in the process of adopting our 2nd sn child from China (this time a 5yo). This is how I found you!
Anyway, please share how little ole me can follow the Father's call to Africa.

Hi Angel... I know that you are getting ready to leave... and you are going to be swamped. But if you have time... please email me. I have a couple of questions (older adoption issue things to prepare for) that I would love to pick your brain about. We just got our 2nd DNA ... so I know our travel is about 3 -4 weeks off.

Thanks!
