33 Days Waiting For LOA for Kaiya

Just an update to let you know we are on day 33 of our wait for LOA!( Letter of Acceptance) It has gone SOOOOO fast so far. I can hardly believe it. Lately I have seen everything from people who waited 90 some odd days to some who only waited 54! So I really don't know what to expect as far as how much longer. It could be as soon as 20 days from now or it could be more like 60ish days. Hmmmm... I guess we will see! ;0)

After LOA we will have to sign and return it. Let's say that takes a week with mail to China. Then we wait for TA (travel approval) which is usually about two weeks. Then we will have our appointment usually a few weeks later. So travel should be around 5 or 6 weeks after LOA.

So I suppose by my estimates it should be between 9-18 weeks till pick up. So that is somewhere between April 16th and June 25th. I know that is quite a span but it doesn't seem bad at all to me considering sometimes with my process with Zoe it felt like she might be home in 3 weeks or 2 years. :0) Hee hee... I am keeping content and enjoying the process.

Hugs, Angel

Isn't it amazing to hear a timeline that's CLOSE to reliable? Even when it's a span of 3 months, it's nice to know that by the end of that time your child WILL be home. Quite different than last time, huh? None of that uncertainty, which makes it much easier TO ENJOY the process. (If things go well this summer, my timeline is 6-9 months after the summer. Somehow 6 months seems practical this time!)

Congrats on your newest little one. I hope that the wait doesn't become too unbearable. We are beginning to think about adopting and which avenue to take, so we may be looking for advice in the coming months/years. Your girls are looking good and big too.
Blessings,
Elizabeth
